JMU to Host Annual CAA Blood Challenge Oct. 29

As a part of the 13th annual Colonial Athletic Association Blood Challenge, James Madison Athletics will host a campus-wide blood drive on Wednesday, October 29, from 10 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. in the Transitions Room of Warren Hall.

To sign up to donate blood go to: www.vadonor.org, search Harrisonburg, Virginia (zip code 22807) for 10/29/14. Select the JMU-CAA Blood Drive and from there choose a timeslot to donate. Walk-ins are also welcome the day of the event. All donors will receive a free t-shirt for participating.

Donors must present a valid photo ID or VBS donor card at registration. Visit www.vadonor.org for a list of accepted IDs or call 1-800-989-4438.

Over the past 12 years, blood donated through the CAA Blood Challenge has helped save 118,866 lives. Participating in the blood drive also helps support JMU as it competes against other CAA schools in the challenge. The institution with the most donors will be awarded a trophy and recognized as the 2014 CAA Blood Challenge winner.
