All single games now on sale including away games at Maryland and Charlotte
HARRISONBURG, Va. - Season ticket sales for the 2014 edition of JMU Football in Bridgeforth Stadium are well ahead of last year's pace, indicating that fans are looking forward to the first year under new Head Coach Everett Withers as he ushers in a New Era of JMU Football. Â Following the May 15 renewal deadline, season ticket sales were over 500 ahead of the 2013 benchmark. Â Interest in season ticket packages has continued to grow since May, with an additional 650 season tickets sold, putting the Dukes over 6,100 season tickets and well on pace to surpass 2013's final number of 7,002. Â Season tickets for this fall went on sale in December of 2013, following the announcement of Coach Wither's role as Head Coach. Â "Our goal is to increase our season ticket number to 7,500 this season and with such a strong start, we feel good about reaching that mark and pushing on to bring even more of the JMU Nation to Bridgeforth Stadium this fall" stated Michael Carpenter, Assistant Athletic Director for Customer Relations and Ticketing. Â "A strong base of season ticket holders play a huge role in the formidable game day atmosphere and strong attendance numbers in Bridgeforth Stadium." Â Season tickets are the best option for catching the Dukes in Bridgeforth Stadium, offering the best prices, seat location and parking options for football game day. Â Season tickets will be available for sale up until kick-off of the first home game against St. Francis on September 13.
Individual game tickets for all the match-ups on the Dukes schedule went on sale on June 1, including away games, featuring the Dukes at Maryland on August 30 and at Charlotte on October 25. Â Popular home games on Family Day and Homecoming are the top sellers and are available packaged in mini-plans that include your choice of 3 games from the home schedule and game-day parking. Â Duke Club members can utilize their Priority for away game tickets by ordering before the respective priority deadlines for each game. Â The JMU Nation made a strong showing in College Park, MD in 2009, the last time the Dukes visted the Terps, purchasing almost 2,000 tickets through the JMU Ticket Office. Â A large contingent of the JMU faithful promise to travel with the Dukes on the road this fall and large crowds are expected both at College Parki and in Charlotte, NC when the Dukes take on the 49ers for the first time. Â Due to a limited allotment of tickets to the Charlotte game, orders will only be accepted from current Duke Club members up through the October 3 Priority Deadline. Â If tickets to the Charlotte game are available following the Priority Deadline, they will be made available to the general public.Â
