CHARLESTON, S.C. – The James Madison men's soccer team completed a scoreless draw with College of Charleston on Saturday night at Patriots Point Soccer Complex, playing in their fourth straight double-overtime game.
The teams were evenly matched throughout the game with the Cougars (5-4-2, 2-1-1 CAA) holding a slim 11-10 lead in shots and a 6-5 edge in corner kick opportunities.

Toby Appleton dribbled past two defenders to create space in the box, but fired the shot high off of his right foot.
Senior goalkeeper
Kyle Morton and the Dukes' back line held strong to earn their third shutout of the season despite facing a steady attack at times. Morton collected five saves to keep Charleston, who held a 5-0 lead in shots on goal at halftime, off the board.
The Dukes return to action Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m. when the Tribe of William and Mary make their way to Harrisonburg.
NOTEWORTHYThe Dukes have now played four straight overtime matches for the first time since a stretch between Oct. 21 and Oct. 30 during the 2005 season. The Dukes have only one loss in their last six games, going 2-1-3 in that span.
FRESHMAN SPOTLIGHTFreshman forward
Aaron Ward-Baptiste played 30 minutes tonight, his most since going 38 minutes in the season opener against Iona. He tallied two shots including one on goal, both career highs.

LOOKING AHEADThe all-time series between JMU and William & Mary dates back to Oct. 28, 1969 when the Dukes fell 6-0 to the Tribe. Fifty games later, the Dukes lead the series 23-19-8, including a 2-1 win in the final home game of the 2014 season.
