JMU Diving Completes Day One of Nike Cup

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – The James Madison diving team completed day one of the three-day Nike Cup Thursday evening.
Junior Olivia Lehman finished atop the leaderboards for the Dukes in the 3-meter, earning fifth place out of 37 divers in the preliminaries with a score of 276.55 points, advancing to the finals. She took sixth in the Final A competition with 298.00 points.
In the morning preliminaries, senior Carly Alexander took 24th in the 3-meter with 217.10 followed by sophomore Vivian Ross in 37th with 152.70.
JMU will return to action tomorrow, Friday, Nov.20 to compete in day two of the Nike Cup.

"As a coach, I was incredibly proud of Olivia and her performance in the finals tonight! Olivia has worked so hard to improve both her diving skills and her mental game and tonight she brought both in full force."
