Scouting Report
- JMU clinched the 2015 CAA regular-season title on Friday night with an 82-47 win over Northeastern at the Convo. The Dukes earned their second straight regular-season title and third in the last five years.
- The Dukes saw 10 players see action and score against the Huskies, led by 18 points from junior guard Precious Hall and redshirt-junior guard Jazmon Gwathmey. Redshirt-senior center Lauren Okafor posted 11 points and junior guard Ashley Perez added 10 points to round out the double-digit scorers for JMU.
- Additionally, junior guard Angela Mickens tallied seven assists, giving her 203 on the season, which is good for the second-best total in a single season in JMU history. She needs 21 assists to become the all-time leader in single-season assists (224).
- The last time JMU faced Delaware, the Dukes walked away with a 94-64 home victory over the Blue Hens. The win also marked No. 303 for Head Coach Kenny Brooks, making him the all-time winningest coach in JMU women's basketball history. JMU has won the last four meetings with Delaware, including the 2014 CAA tournament championship game.
- Delaware is coming off a 71-68 overtime loss at UNCW on Thursday night, extending the Blue Hen's losing streak to three games. The streak began with their earlier loss to JMU, which snapped Delaware's five-game win-streak.
- Sunday's game will feature the CAA's top two shooting teams from beyond the arc, as Delaware leads the league with a 36.5 percent shooting average from 3-point range and JMU is just behind with a 35.8 shooting average.
- When it comes to defending the arc, however, JMU ranks second in the CAA while Delaware is ninth. The Dukes' opponents are shooting 29.6 percent from 3-point range while the Blue Hens' foes are shooting 34.3 percent from beyond the arc.
