SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- Towson has gone 3-3 across its last six contests and sits in a tie for third with JMU and William & Mary, the Dukes' other opponent this week, at 19-10 (10-6 CAA) heading into the regular season's final weekend.
- The Tigers are a stout 11-3 at SECU Arena this season, with all three losses coming during league play. Towson fell to both Hofstra (90-58) and College of Charleston (40-37) at home before dropping a 47-44 decision to Northeastern two weeks ago.
- Four players average in double figures for Towson, led by junior forward Arnaud William Adala Moto's 14.1 ppg. Adala Moto also leads the Tigers with 8.1 rpg, while sophomore guards Byron Hawkins and Mike Morsell contribute 13.5 ppg and 13.0 ppg, respectively, and junior forward John Davis adds 10.6.
SERIES HISTORY
- Thursday's game will mark the 45th in the all-time series between the two schools, dating back to the first meeting during the 1978-79 season. All but 13 of the contests have come since Towson's return to the CAA prior to the 2002-03 season.
- JMU has snapped Towson's three-game win streak in the series with three straight victories of its own, sweeping last year's season series and picking up a 73-59 win at the Convocation Center back on Jan. 9.
- In that game, a stalwart Dukes defense held the Tigers to just 34.6% (18-for-52) shooting from the floor and just 10% (2-for-20) from behind the arc. Junior guard Shakir Brown tallied a game-high 14 points to lead the Dukes, while senior guard Ron Curry added 12 and junior forward Dimitrije Cabarkapa scored 11 on a 4-for-4 night from the field.
LAST TIME OUT
- James Madison had four double-figure scorers and led Delaware wire-to-wire to earn a 75-50 Colonial Athletic Association men's basketball victory on Saturday afternoon at the JMU Convocation Center in front of a season-high 5,522 fans.
- The Dukes improved to 20-9 (10-6 CAA) while the Blue Hens dropped to 7-20 and 2-14. The win placed JMU in a three-way tie for third place in the conference standings with Towson, which beat Elon, and William & Mary, which fell to Drexel.
- Senior guard Ron Curry scored a game-high 17 points to go with six rebounds and three assists, while sophomore guard Joey McLean contributed 14 points and a pair of dimes. Two other Dukes scored 10 points off the bench as sophomore forward Paulius Satkus was a rebound shy of a double-double with nine boards while junior guard Shakir Brown had seven rebounds and a game-high three steals.

- Thursday evening's contest will mark JMU's seventh appearance on regional television this season, as the Dukes are slated to appear live on CSN-MA (Mid-Atlantic), TCN-P (Philadelphia) and SNY (New York).
