JMU Football Announces Spring Practice Schedule

HARRISONBURG, Va. – Head Coach Mike Houston announced the James Madison football spring practice schedule on Tuesday, which is set to run from March 16 to April 16.
The Dukes will participate in 15 practice days over the month, with morning practices weekdays from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and weekend practices from 10 a.m. until noon. JMU concludes the spring slate on Saturday, April 16 at 1 p.m. for the annual spring game at Bridgeforth Stadium. Admission is free to the spring game.
"The biggest thing about spring practice is we get the opportunity to really see what we have now and what we have the potential to be," Houston said. "I've watched a lot of film, spent a lot of time with them in the weight room and on the field and watched them train there. Now I get the opportunity to see truly what we have up close and personal and to also start putting our identity on this current roster.
"I just want to be able to show all of our alumni and fans the kind of passion, energy and excitement we're going to play with on an every-down basis and give them a glimpse of what the 2016 Dukes are going to look like."
Season tickets for the 2016 JMU football season presented by CarMax are on sale now. Both new and returning season ticket accounts are encouraged to order season tickets before the May 15 priority deadline. Returning season ticket holders must renew by May 15 to keep their same seats while new season tickets ordered by the priority deadline will receive the best available tickets and parking.
Season tickets can be ordered online, by calling 540-568-3853 or by visiting the Athletic Ticket Office in the Convocation Center.
The Duke Club is the fundraising arm of JMU Athletics and a donation for 2016 improves season ticket and parking options for football. Each tax deductible gift helps support JMU student-athletes and the general operating budget while providing great donor benefits.
