HARRISONBURG, Va. – A total of 15 outgoing James Madison student-athletes showcased their skills in front of pro football scouts at the 2026 Pro Day, held on Thursday afternoon at Bridgeforth Stadium.
There were 13 scouts from various NFL and CFL franchises who made their way to Harrisonburg. During the event, the scouts observed the players' measurements, testing and drills both inside the weight room and on the turf.
Players will continue their respective training with the aspirations of being drafted, sign as an undrafted free agent or receive an invitation to an NFL franchise's minicamp.
Jacob Thomas' three cone time would have ranked second among all players at the NFL Combine and his 5-10-5 time would rank fifth among all DBs at the Combine.
The 40-yard dash time for both Elijah Culp and Mekhi Rodgers would have ranked tied for second and tied for third by cornerbacks at the NFL Combine.
Xavier Holmes' 5-10-5 time would have been the fastest time by any defensive lineman at the NFL Combine.
The 2026 NFL Draft is set for April 23-25 and will be held in Pittsburgh, Pa., at the North Shore near Acrisure Stadium and Point State Par in downtown Pittsburgh.
