WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – James Madison men's soccer earned its second consecutive Colonial Athletic Association point, playing William & Mary to a 0-0, weather-shortened draw at Martin Family Stadium. The match was stopped in the 80th minute due to lightning.
The Dukes moved to 0-7-3 on the year, including a 0-1-2 mark in CAA play. The Tribe are now 5-3-2 overall and 0-1-2 in the conference.
The Tribe held a 15-10 advantage in shots, but led just 5-4 in shots on goal. Redshirt senior goalkeeper
Kyle Morton made five saves, including a sprawling effort to stop a diving header by William & Mary's Antonio Bustamante.
JMU's best opportunity to score came in the 60th minute when freshman midfielder

Billy Metzler, but his effort went just wide of the right post.
Sophomore forward

QUOTING COACH FOLEY
"True to form in the CAA, I think it was a challenging game. It was a hard-fought match with both teams creating opportunities to score. Unfortunately the game was stopped by lightning, but it was a valuable point as we advance through the conference portion of our schedule."
