HARRISONBURG, Va. – The James Madison men's soccer team saw its season come to a close with a heartbreaking, 1-0 loss to William & Mary in the Colonial Athletic Association Semifinal on Friday. The Tribe will face UNCW in the championship on Sunday at 1 p.m.
GAME RECAP
25' | Reeves Trott scored the only goal as he collected a rebound from a shot that bounced off the post and kicked the ball in from five yards out
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Overall, the match was pretty even as William and Mary took one more shot than JMU with nine but both teams took five shots in the first. The Dukes tallied seven corners compared to the Tribe's four. Redshirt freshman TJ Bush scooped up five saves on the night. Bush ends the season with a 7-5-1 record.
FOLEY'S REMARKS
Overall Thoughts…
"Two very good teams and William and Mary got the best of us tonight. We as a team talked about how the team who defends the best tonight would be the team that gets through this game and William and Mary defended a little bit better than we did. Our team did not give up and they fought hard, give them a lot of credit."
On the Season…
"I am proud of the guys. The team competed very well tonight and all season. This is a learning experience for us, the young players got a great opportunity to play in the CAA Tournament and gain experience which is going to help us move on in the future."
