- The Dukes are in Nassau, Bahamas to open up The Islands of the Bahamas Showcase with a first-round matchup against Northern Kentucky.
- On Monday, the Dukes dropped a tough 69-53 decision to in-state rival Old Dominion.
- Junior Stuckey Mosley led the Dukes in scoring for the second time in as many games, tallying 14 points to go with six boards and three assists, while senior Ramone Snowden racked up 13 points on an efficient 3-of-5 performance that included a pair of threes and a 5-of-6 evening at the free throw line.
- This is the first-ever men's basketball matchup between JMU and NKU.
- The Norse are 2-0 after home wins over East Tennessee State (81-63) and Wilmington College (93-65).
- Against Wilmington, junior Drew McDonald and redshirt junior Jeff Garrett both registered double-doubles, as McDonald tallied 18 points with 10 rebounds and Garrett dropped 13 points and a career-high 15 boards.
