The Dukes will wrap up their non-conference schedule at Florida on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
On Saturday, JMU defeated FIU, 76-67 in Miami Shores, Fla. to improve to 4-8 with its first road win of the season.
Junior guard Stuckey Mosley, who was named CAA Player of the Week for his performance, scored 23 of his 28 points in the second half, going 5-of-8 from the field after halftime with a perfect 3-of-3 from behind the arc and 10-of-10 from the free throw line.
Freshman guard Darius Banks continued his stellar stretch as he posted 16 points on 7-of-10 shooting.
This is the fourth-ever matchup in the all-time series between the Dukes and Gators, with Florida holding the series lead, 2-1.
In the last matchup, the Dukes fell short, 64-62 in Uniondale, N.Y. on March 17, 1994.
James Madison head coach Louis Rowe played in each of the previous two matchups between the two schools, leading Florida with 11 points in 1990, before transferring to JMU and notching seven boards, three assists and a block in 1994 as a junior.
Florida is 6-4 on the season after falling to Clemson, 71-69 this past Saturday in Sunrise, Fla.
Against Clemson, junior Jalen Hudson led the Gators with 23 points and four rebounds. Senior Chris Chiozza tallied 14 points, three assists and four steals.
