OPELILA, Ala. - Sophomore
Alex Henderson fired an even-par 72 on Monday afternoon to lead the James Madison men's golf team on the final day of the Tiger Invitational, hosted by Auburn at the par-72, 7,149-yard Grand National Lake Course.

The tournament, which was originally scheduled for Sunday-Tuesday, was shortened to a two-day event due to impending inclement weather. The teams completed their second round on Monday morning, with the third round following immediately afterwards with a shotgun start.

Henderson dropped a pair of strokes from his second-round score of 2-over 74, using three birdies across his final eight holes to finish at 5-over 221 for the tournament, putting him in a tie for 39th at the 99-player event.

Freshman
Walker Cress finished his second round at 2-under 70 before posting a 3-over 75 in the afternoon, leading the Dukes' finishers in a tie for 26th at 2-over 218. The performance marks Cress' second top-30 finish in as many collegiate tournaments.

Junior
Jack Floydd also dropped two strokes from his second round score, ending the tournament with a 2-over 74 that put him in a tie for 54th at 7-over 223, while senior
Ryan Cole (74-73-77=224) and sophomore
Shota Ozaki (84-74-75=233) finished tied for 61st and 92nd, respectively.

Junior
Jack Floydd saved his best for last, posting an eagle on his final hole of the tournament: the 522-yard par-5 12th.
