DAYTONA, Fla. – For the second consecutive year, both the James Madison cheerleading and dance teams placed in the top three at their respective national competitions in Daytona, Fla.

The JMU cheerleading team finished third in the Small Coed Cheer Division I at the National Cheerleaders Association Collegiate Championships. Eight teams competed in the Friday's final round.

The JMU Dukettes placed second in the Jazz Division I category at the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Championships, facing off against 11 other teams in the finals on Friday.
