The Dukes will continue their southern swing with a bout against College of Charleston on Saturday at 3 p.m.
On Thursday, the Dukes' comeback fell just short as they dropped a tough 71-68 loss to UNCW in Wilmington.
Freshman Matt Lewis posted 21 points, including 17 in the first half, to go with four boards, two assists and a steal in 37 minutes of turnover-free ball.
Junior Stuckey Mosley racked up 21 points in the second half to close his evening with 23 on 9-of-15 shooting, marking his 10th 20-point effort of the year and his 15th straight double-digit performance.
This is the 11th matchup in the all-time series between the Dukes and Cougars, with Charleston holding the series lead, 6-4.
In their last bout, the Cougars eliminated JMU in last season's CAA Quarterfinals, 67-62 in North Charleston, S.C. on March 3, 2017.
On Saturday, Charleston defeated Delaware, 62-54 to improve to 15-6 (6-3 CAA) on the season, and sit tied for second in the conference with Northeastern.
Against Delaware, senior Joe Chealey led all scorers with 23 points and five rebounds. Sophomore Grant Riller added 11 points alongside four boards and four assists.
