James Madison heads to Charlotte, N.C. for a Friday night matchup against the 49ers in Halton Arena. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m.
With a 3-0 record, the Dukes are off to their best start since the 1999-2000 season.
Sophomore forward Dwight Wilson took over in the 82-59 win over Bridgewater on Monday night, dropping a career-high 18 points while matching a career-high 12 boards.
As a team, the Dukes shot 55.9 percent form the field and made a 22-3 run in the final 6:40 of the first half to lead 42-23 at the end of the opening frame.
After three contests, four players are averaging double-digit scoring: sophomore Darius Banks (18.7), redshirt senior Stuckey Mosley (15), Wilson (12) and sophomore Matt Lewis (11.3).
Charlotte is coming off a buzzer-beater win over Oklahoma State, as senior guard Jon Davis drilled a three-point with 0.6 seconds left to edge the Cowboys 66-64.
Davis, a preseason All-Conference USA selection, leads the 49ers in offense, averaging 29 points per game.
Head Coach Ron Sanchez is in his first year with the program and is off to a 1-1 start.
