JMU will end their regular-season schedule with a 4 p.m. game against Elon in North Carolina on Monday.
On Saturday, the Dukes dropped a 68-66 decision to Delaware in Newark.
Freshman Matt Lewis continued his scoring tear, racking up 23 points to lead all scorers on the evening, while fellow freshman Darius Banks matched his career high with 20 to go along with six boards, two assists, a block and a steal in 37 minutes of turnover-free ball.
This is the ninth-ever matchup in the all-time series between the Dukes and Phoenix, with JMU holding the series lead, 6-2.
In the last matchup, the Dukes edged the Phoenix, 85-74 in overtime on Jan. 18 in Harrisonburg.
Elon fell to 14-16 (6-11 CAA) after losing to Northeastern 81-59 on senior night in Alumni Gym.
Against the Huskies, senior Brian Dawkins scored a team-high 13 points alongside seven boards, three assists and one steal, while senior Dmitri Thompson racked up 10 points with a team-high eight boards and an assist.
