HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison dropped a 10-2 decision to Northeastern in the series opener of Colonial Athletic Association baseball action at Eagle Field on Friday evening.
The Dukes moved to 13-11, 1-3 CAA on the season, while the Huskies improve to 13-9 overall and 1-0 in conference play.
Sophomore
Harry Brown turned in a 1-for-2 outing at the plate, with his sole hit being a two-run home run over the right-center field wall in the sixth inning. Senior
Adam Sisk knocked in a hit in the contest, moving his reached-base streak to 20 games.
On the mound, senior
Colton Harlow suffered his second loss of the season, putting him at 2-2 after tossing six innings with giving up five runs (four earned) on five hits and tallying five strikeouts.
Northeastern stormed out to a quick 3-0 lead after two innings of play before JMU reduced the deficit to one after Brown's two-run shot in the sixth. The Huskies answered right away by scoring seven runs over the last three innings to gain their first CAA victory of the season, 10-2.
