On the mound, freshman Nick Stewart took the loss to move to 2-3 on the season after tossing 2.2 innings, giving up four runs (two earned) on four hits with one strikeout.
Northeastern began the game by scoring at least one run in the first five innings to jump out to a 7-1 lead going into the sixth. The Huskies plated their final run in the seventh to secure the win, 8-1.
QUOTING COACH IKE
"We just didn't pitch and play defense when we needed to. We cannot give up four unearned runs and expect to win a ball game."
