LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Five members of the James Madison softball team earned a spot on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Northeast Regional team, the organization announced Thursday afternoon.

Odicci Alexander were named to All-Northeast Region First Team. Senior third baseman
Morgan Tolle was tabbed to the All-Northeast Region Second Team and sophomore outfielder
Cambry Arnold earned a spot on the All-Northeast Region Third Team.

Earning the 2018 Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Year honor, Buresch has collected an 18-5 record in the circle. Hurling 149 1/3 innings, the Downers Grove, Ill. native has a 1.69 ERA after pitching nine complete games and notching seven total shutouts on the season. Only allowing 36 earned runs, Buresch boasts 90 strikeouts and a .231 batters against average.

A force behind the plate, Gordon is averaging .412. She has knocked 70 hits, including a team-leading 18 doubles and 13 long balls. The First Team All-CAA selection has tallied 48 RBIs while scoring 47 runs. Earlier this season, Gordon broke the single-game RBI record after notching six at UNCW.

After being tabbed CAA Rookie of the Year last season, Alexander garnered the 2018 CAA Player of the Year award with stellar performances both on the mound and behind the dish. Pitching 211 1/3 innings of work on the season, Alexander has tallied a 24-6 record with a 2.15 ERA. She has tossed eight shutouts while striking out 206 while only allowing 44 walks this season. At the plate, the Boydton, Va. product holds a .388 average over 52 starts with 64 hits, including eight doubles and 16 homers. She has scored 47 runs and leads JMU with 56 RBI.

Tolle earns her third consecutive All-Region honor after being named to the First Team the prior two seasons. She leads the team with 77 base hits, including 15 doubles and 18 long balls. From the lead-off position, Tolle holds a .407 batting average, slating 55 RBI and 52 runs.

Rounding out the honorees, Arnold picks up her first All-Region Third Team honors after being tabbed to the First Team during her freshman season. Starting 29 games during the 2018 campaign, Arnold holds a .353 average, registering 30 hits, including three doubles. She's produced 23 runs and six RBI.
