After resuming Monday's darkness-shortened second round in strong fashion, the Dukes continued the momentum into a final-round 283 (-5) to vault a pair of spots on the 15-team leaderboard and capture their third straight top-5 finish to open the 2019-20 season.

The performance gave Cress his second straight top-10 finish after capturing the individual title at the River Run Collegiate.

QUOTING COACH FORBES
"I was happy with the way the guys came out today with a new attitude and posted the best number in the field. We still felt like we left a couple strokes out there that could have moved us up, but we're looking forward to getting back to work for next week's tournament."

UP NEXT
The Dukes will be back on the road next week, heading to Berkeley Hills Country Club in Duluth, Ga. for the Autotrader Collegiate Classic, hosted by Georgia State on Oct. 14-15.
