Harrisonburg, Va. – JMU Athletics is proud to unveil the promotions and special events for all 30 home men's and women's basketball games scheduled for the 2019-20 seasons. The schedule includes a number of deals for JMU community members and students as well as the return of the annual food drive, Teddy Bear Toss, the Duke Dog Reading Program and the Virginia529 Diaper Derby.
The JMU Basketball seasons both tip off on Wednesday, Nov. 6, when the teams will host games in a season-opening doubleheader at the JMU Convocation Center. Women's basketball will host in-state foe Longwood at 5 p.m. before the men welcome Conference USA opponent Charlotte at 7:30 p.m.
Returning this year are the Martin's Food Drive, the Northwestern Mutual Teddy Bear Toss and Duke Dog Reading Program Days. Fan favorites such as The VA529 Diaper Derby, Boy Scout Day, Girl Scout Day and National Girls and Women in Sports Day are returning as well.

To commemorate the final season in the Convocation Center, JMU Basketball will be holding a Convo Countdown at select games to honor memorable people and moments in the history of the facility. The season-long effort will conclude with special celebrations on each program's Senior Day in honor of their final games at the Convocation Center. JMU Men's Basketball will have its Senior Day on Feb. 22 against in-state rival William & Mary, while the women's program will hold its Senior Day on March 1.
