WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – James Madison baseball improved to 20-17 on the season and 4-8 in CAA play with a 5-3 victory over the Tribe on Sunday. The Dukes used a three-run eighth inning to take the lead over the Tribe and give the Dukes their 20
thvictory.

Brett Ayer improved to 4-1 on the season, taking over for
Joe Williams who went, 6.0 innings, allowing five hits, two runs and striking out three batters. Ayer went 3.0 innings, allowed one run, on one hit and struck out four batters to earn the victory. The JMU bats came alive in game three of the series, posting 11 hits on the afternoon.

William & Mary took an early 2-0 lead scoring in the bottom of the first and third. JMU responded in the sixth, when
Fox Semones bunted for a single and scored
Callaway Sigler. Sigler picked up his first two colligate hits on Sunday and collected half of the cycle. The Dukes would tie the game with one swing of the bat, as
David Willis homered to left field. In the eighth JMU collected three runs to extend their lead and pick up their 20

"It was a big weekend for us. We were able to get back into our rhythm and get back to our ways. Joe pitched very good today and Brett was great out of the pen. I was really proud of Callaway for battling through and getting if first collegiate hits. We will head to Maryland on Tuesday and then get back to business next weekend."
