Football National Championship Ticket Presale Begins on August 22

Tickets for the 2020 NCAA Division I Football National Championship game to be played on Saturday, January 11 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, will be available as part of a public presale this week.

The NCAA presale begins on Thursday, Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. To be considered for the presale, fans must sign up for email updates from the NCAA. Signing up for the e-mail does not guarantee tickets to the national championship game, rather the opportunity to purchase tickets while supplies last.

This is not the allotment provided to the participating teams. Read below for more details on the JMU ticket distribution in the event the Dukes advance to the championship game. Tickets ordered in advance through the NCAA may not be in sections allocated to JMU if advancing to the national championship.

Presale ticket access will be provided by the NCAA via e-mail in advance of Thursday's on-sale date with the official presale code. Should any tickets remain following Thursday's presale, they will go on sale to the general public on Saturday, Aug. 24. at www.NCAA.com/FCS. Last year, this ticket allotment sold out in less than five minutes.

CHAMPIONSHIP TICKET INFORMATION FOR ADVANCING TEAMS
The NCAA guarantees the two schools participating in the national championship an equal allotment of tickets for the game. Once confirmed, JMU's ticket allotment will be made available to 2019 Duke Club members in the manner detailed below.

JMU ALLOTMENT
The JMU ticket allotment will be distributed following the same process as used for the 2018 championship game. Based on our anticipated allotment and using order data from previous years, this model will provide fair and equitable access to Championship Game tickets for Duke Club members.

Ticket requests will only be accepted from 2019 Duke Club members donating to the Proud and True Fund at $50 and above as well as current JMU students. Orders can be made at JMUTickets.com after the Dukes advance to Frisco.
Tickets requests will be filled in order of Duke Club Priority Points following the Priority Deadline. Ticket orders are not guaranteed for Duke Club members. All orders will be assigned by Duke Club Priority Points following the Priority Deadline. In 2018, the threshold to access tickets for Duke Club members was 110 priority points; this threshold is expected to be much higher this year.

The order limits defined below will be in place for Championship Game ticket orders.
- Crown Donors and above ($5,000+ ) – 8 tickets
- Gold and Director's Donors ($1,000 - $4,999) – 6 tickets
- Paw to Silver Donors ($50 - $999) – 4 tickets
- Current JMU Students - 2 tickets
An allotment of tickets will be held for JMU students. Current JMU students will have the ability to order two tickets to the Championship game. Current Student Duke Club members will have the first opportunity to purchase once JMU has clinched a spot in the championship game.

BUILD DUKE CLUB PRIORITY
Fans may join the Duke Club to build their priority points and become eligible to order tickets for the Championship Game. Ticket orders are not guaranteed for Duke Club members as all orders will be assigned by Duke Club priority points following the Priority Deadline. Duke Club gifts made with the intention of gaining access to Championship Game tickets cannot be refunded. Duke Club members can view their current Priority Point total by logging into their account. Duke Club members can also earn points by becoming season ticket holders for football and basketball, tickets are available now at JMUTickets.com.

HIGH DEMAND FOR TICKETS
Due to the limited number of tickets JMU receives from the NCAA, it is highly encouraged to purchase through the NCAA in advance during the presale.

TRAVEL PACKAGES
The Duke Club and JMU Alumni Association will again partner with a travel agency to offer fans full service travel packages to the NCAA Division I National Championship game. Offerings will include both group and charter air packages, hotel accommodations, ground transportation and inclusion of official JMU fan events. Game tickets will not be included with travel packages and should be ordered directly from the JMU Ticket Office. Package information will be made available in December.
