Owls Down Dukes on Opening Night

BOCA RATON, Fla. – James Madison Men's Soccer dropped their season opener to Florida Atlantic 1-0 on Friday evening in Boca Raton, Florida. JMU soccer falls to 0-1-0 on the season while FAU improves to 1-0-0.
FAU controlled most the match outshooting the Dukes 12-6, but the Dukes were able to collect five corner kicks on the night. Florida Atlantic took the lead in the 81stminute when Andres Macias scored off a scrum in front of the net. TJ Bush made five saves in the first half, adding another two in the second.

The Dukes will travel to Miami, Florida to face off against FIU. The match was originally scheduled for Sunday evening, but due to hurricane Dorian, the match was moved to Saturday evening.
