LYNCHBURG, Va. – On Saturday afternoon the Dukes competed at Liberty in a tri-team meet against the Flames and Campbell. James Madison Swimming and Diving had a successful day in the pool, picking up seven first-place finishes and multiple top-3 finishes.

To start the event this morning, the JMU 200 medley team's both had successful showings finishing second and third with a two second split.
Julianna Jones finished first in the 1000 freestyle and the 500 freestyle, while
Bailey Butler finished third in the 1000 freestyle and second in the 500 freestyle.

Bonnie Zhang collected three first-place finishes, winning the 200 freestyle, 50 freestyle and the 100 freestyle.
Faith Anderson and
Emily Gross both traded places all afternoon in the 3-meter dive, but Anderson squeaked out the victory over Gross by .83 points. Senior
Hope Byrum took second on the 1-meter board and Gross finished third.
Hannah Lagod wrapped up the Dukes' first-place finishes with a victory in the 100 butterfly. JMU closed out the afternoon with the 200 freestyle relay, finishing second. JMU fell to Liberty 159 to 141, but defeated Campbell 217 to 77.
