- After a quick trip away from home on Thursday, James Madison returns to the Atlantic Union Bank Center (AUBC) to face its second consecutive in-state foe in George Mason. Tip is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday with the game televised live on NBC Sports Washington as well as broadcast live on FloSports.Â
- The Dukes bounced back from a tough loss on Monday with a hard-fought win against Virginia, 71-67 on Thursday night in John Paul Jones Arena. JMU has won three of the last four meetings against UVa.
- In the game, freshman Jamia Hazell paced JMU with 16 points on an efficient 6-of-9 shooting (66.7 percent) including a blistering 80 percent clip (4-of-5) from long distance with one steal and an assist.
- On Monday, Hazell was named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week after a stellar performance in the season-opening 69-55 win over Mount St. Mary's in the AUBC on Nov. 25.
- Hazell leads the Dukes in scoring, averaging 16.0 points per game while sophomore Kiki Jefferson drops 14.0 per game. Sophomore Rayne Tucker paces JMU in the paint, grabbing 11.0 boards a game.
SCOUTING THE PATRIOTS
- George Mason earned its second consecutive win on Tuesday as the Patriots held off a late charge from Longwood, winning 77-65 in EagleBank Arena. The win pushed Mason to 2-1 to begin the season.
- Two Patriots posted a double double in the game with Marika Korpinen leading the way dropping 19 points and grabbing a career-high 12 rebounds while Jazmyn Doster posted 10 points and 10 boards.Â
- George Mason has three players averaging double digits this early in the season - Daijah Jefferson leads the team dropping 14.3ppg, followed by Korpinen with 13.0ppg and Doster putting up 12.0ppg.

- Sunday's contest marks the 74th meeting between the Dukes and the Patriots.
- In Harrisonburg, JMU holds a 26-6 lead. Additionally the Dukes are on an 18-game winning streak.Â
