James Madison stays at home for the weekend as the Dukes welcome the College of Charleston to the Convocation Center on Friday. Tip-off is set for noon with the game broadcast live on MadiZONE.
In its last contest, JMU posted a dominant 81-39 revengeful win over Towson on Sunday in the Convo.
Senior Kamiah Smalls led the way with her third double-double of the season in a game-high 24 points (3-5 three-point field goals) and a game-high 10 rebounds. The senior also added a game-high five assists.
On the season, Smalls paces the team dropping 18.7 points (second in CAA; 29th in D1) shooting an efficient 41.7 percent (50-120) from behind the arc while leading the team in steals (1.7) and assists (2.6). Senior Kayla Cooper-Williams is a force defensively grabbing 9.8 rebounds per game (first in CAA; 36th in D1) including 3.6 offensive boards per game while also blocking a league-best 3.4 shots per game (sixth in D1).

SCOUTING THE COUGARS

Charleston is coming off a difficult 0-2 weekend capped off with a tough 85-57 loss on Sunday to Elon.
Tyler Collins filled the stat sheet as she posted 18 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals.
On the season, Latrice Perkins leads the way averaging 13.9 points with 5.7 boards and 2.0 steals per game.

SERIES HISTORY

Friday's contest will be the 16th meeting between the Dukes and Cougars with JMU holding a 14-1 lead.
The Dukes are currently on a 13-game win streak against Charleston including a perfect 6-0 at the Convo.
In the last meeting on Jan. 19, the Dukes hit a season-best 16 threes and freshman Kiki Jefferson posted her first career double double in 21 points and 12 rebounds leading JMU to a blowout 87-53 win at TD Arena.
