TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Sophomore
Nick Schlickenrieder picked up his third top-10 finish of the season on Sunday afternoon, leading the No. 45 James Madison men's golf team to a tie for fourth at the Seminole Intercollegiate, hosted at the par-72, 6,965-yard Golden Eagle Country Club.

Schlickenrieder continued his solid play with a final-round 73 (+1) to cement a tie for seventh among 75 players, finishing ahead of five of the field's eight top-100 players along the way. His even-par (216) performance put him just a stroke behind the top five to close the weekend.

As a team, the Dukes came down the stretch in strong fashion, playing the back nine in 2-under to solidify a tie for fourth at the 14-team event with a final-round 292 (+4). JMU sat in the middle of the seven top-50 teams in Tallahassee, finishing behind three higher-ranked squads and besting No. 32 North Florida, No. 46 Florida State and No. 47 West Virginia.

Freshman
Neal Shipley led the scoring for the Dukes on the final day, birdieing the 18th hole to shoot 71 (-1) on Sunday and climb into a tie for 19th at 219 (+3). Junior
Ignacio Montero matched Schlickenrieder's 73 (+1) to push himself up 11 spots and into a tie for 34th.

Sophomore
George Heath closed out the JMU scoring with a final-round 75 (+3) that put him in a tie for 13th, while senior
Walker Cress tied for 34th with Montero at 224 (+8 | 72-76-76).
