HARRISONBURG, Va. - The priority deadline to order basketball season tickets for the inaugural season in the
Atlantic Union Bank Center has been rescheduled to August 1, 2020 in order to allow time to complete development on an interactive 3D seat selection software that will improve the fan experience during the seat selection process.
Â
The
sale of tickets for the 2020-21 season in the newly-constructed Atlantic Union Bank Center began in October of 2019 and packages are available for the full slate of home games for both men's and women's basketball.
Â
Initially, March 16 was targeted for the season ticket priority deadline, but this date will be postponed to August 1 so the JMU Athletic Ticket Office can finalize the development of new software to best enable seat selection. This change in timing will also align with the long-term annual season ticket renewal deadline for basketball in the new facility, which will also be August 1.
Â
The new online tool will provide ticket buyers the most realistic visualization of the view from their specific seat, as well as the in-venue experience beyond the court. This new software will allow ticket holders to pick their seat location in the Atlantic Union Bank Center in the most true-to-life manner possible, by providing accurate three-dimensional renderings of the new facility with a 360-degree view from their seats.
Â
Fans will be able to select their seats with a better understanding of proximity to the court, team benches, views of videoboards and the Pep Band, as well as spatial relationship to concourse amenities. With new seating options and perspectives now available that were not present in the Convocation Center, it is imperative to give fans the most accurate renderings possible to make their seat selection.
Â
The new Atlantic Union Bank Center will offer an up-close experience for every seat in the facility, featuring a seating bowl specifically designed to optimize the venue layout and put fans as close to the action as possible. A range of seating opportunities exist in the Center, ranging from
premium seats to a fully-engaged courtside student section. Premium options will include Courtside and Loge seating, a Club Room with 600 lower bowl seats and unique raised seating blocks along the Club and Concourse terraces.
Â
Other lower bowl seating opportunities include reserved seating across from the team bench and unique corner locations that will offer great seats at affordable prices. Parking in the new facility will be conveniently located in the adjacent East Campus Parking Deck and a season-long parking pass will be provided complimentary with the purchase of season tickets.
Â
Duke Club members who order by the August 1, 2020 priority deadline will be given the opportunity to select their season ticket based on their Duke Club rank using the new online tool in early August. Reserved parking will be available to all Proud and True donors and season ticket holders. Donors at the Proud and True Gold Level ($1,000+) and above will be able to select a reserved, spot-specific pass in the East Campus Parking Deck during the seat selections process.
