UPDATE: Thursday, March 12, 2020
James Madison University, in coordination with the Colonial Athletic Association, has suspended spring sport competitions until further notice due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, all practices and training activities have been halted. An announcement about spring competition was made by the league concurrently with the cancellation of the women's basketball championship at Elon, N.C.

"There is certainly disappointment about the loss of opportunities for our student-athletes and coaches," Director of Athletics
Jeff Bourne said. "However, we are committed to making smart choices to protect the well-being of everyone impacted by athletic competition on our campus and on other campuses. At the end of the day, it is a privilege to be involved in athletics, but there are more important matters in life, and it is critical that we do our part."
UPDATE: The NCAA has canceled all remaining winter and spring championship events.
