James Madison will close out the 2019-20 regular-season slate this weekend beginning with a Thursday night matchup against Elon. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at Elon with the game broadcast live on FloSports.

SCOUTING THE PHOENIX

Elon is coming off a 74-61 loss to William & Mary on Friday night, extending its losing streak to four games.
In the game, Jaylin Powell dropped a career-high 21 points on an efficient 7-9 shooting with five boards.
On the season, Ariel Colon leads the team in scoring with 11.4 points and in rebounding with 5.0 per game.

SERIES HISTORY

Friday's contest will be the 16th meeting between the Dukes and Phoenix with JMU holding an 11-4 lead.
In North Carolina, the Dukes hold a 4-1 lead and are currently on a three-game winning streak against Elon.
In the last meeting on Jan. 5, JMU forced 17 turnovers and held the Phoenix to a 28.8 (15-52) shooting percentage to earn a 61-48 victory at the Convocation Center. Senior Kamiah Smalls led the way with a monster double-double in a game-high 24 points, sinking four triples, and a game-high 12 rebounds.
