MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – James Madison women's tennis finished their final day of play at the Martha Thorn Invitational with a solid showing of four wins over Louisville at the Mountaineer Tennis Courts.
Redshirt junior
Kylie Moulin led the charge with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Dina Chaika. Moulin's sister, freshman
Hope Moulin, defeated Joy Callwood, 6-2, 6-4.
Senior
Amanda Nord came away with a super-tiebreaker win over Tyra Richardson, 6-4, 3-6, 1-0 (8). Redshirt junior
Daria Afanasyeva added her win to the group with a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Chelsea Sawyer.
Seniors
Michelle Los Arcos and
Shannon McCarthy played against each other, with Los Arcos coming out on top, 6-3, 6-4.
Had these been regular-season dual matches this weekend, JMU would have come away with a 5-1 victory over Louisville and a 4-3 victory over West Virginia.
