HARRISONBURG, Va. – Georgetown, Del. native Bre Reid has signed her National Letter of Intent, as announced by Head Coach
Lauren Steinbrecher on Thursday.

Reid comes to JMU from Sussex High School in Georgetown. The current high school senior is a standout athlete in volleyball, track & field, and basketball.

Her volleyball accolades include First Team All-Conference honors in her freshman, sophomore and junior seasons, and All-State honors as a junior. Reid collected over 1,000 kills in her career at Sussex.

On the track, Reid earned state champion for the long jump and conference champion for the 4x200 relay in 2021

Reid will enroll at JMU for the fall of 2022, and will begin her collegiate volleyball career in the 2022 season.

JMU is 16-6 overall in the 2021 season, clinching eight consecutive winning seasons under Steinbrencher, who holds a 216-113 overall record in 12 seasons as head coach.
