RICHMOND, Va. – A trio from the James Madison swimming & diving team earned weekly and monthly awards from the conference as announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Jessica Pryne was named Conference Co-Swimmer of the Week and
Lexi Lehman was named Conference Diver of the Week, while
Alexa Holloway earned Conference Rookie Diver of the Month honors for October.

The Dukes swept the Conference Pod Meet over the weekend, taking home wins over William & Mary, Delaware, and UNCW to move to 3-2 overall and 3-1 in league meets.

Pryne had an exceptional weekend, taking home nine individual wins. She earned three wins each in the 400 IM and 500 Free, recording the fastest times in the conference this season in those events with times of 4:22.29 and 5:00.71, respectively. Her time in the 400 IM also set a pool record at Seahawk Natatorium and was the seventh fastest in program history.

She picked up two wins against UNCW and William & Mary in the 200 IM, with her time of 2:04.64 being the second fastest in the conference this season. Pryne wrapped up the weekend with a win against William & Mary in the 200 butterfly.

Lehman recorded her best scores of the season on Saturday during the pod meet. She started off the day by placing second in the 1-meter with a score of 255.90, a season-best. She then recorded an NCAA Zone qualifying score of 293.40 in the 3-meter to take home her first first-place finish this season. With her first and second place finishes, she took down the reigning Conference Diver of the Year in both boards.

In the first monthly award this season, Holloway competed in two dual meets against Towson and Duquesne. In her first collegiate meet, Holloway scored a 266.10 in the 3-meter to take home second against Towson. She followed it with a fifth-place finish in the 1-meter with a score of 247.58.

The Spring, Texas native then found her first first-place finish of her young career against Duquesne, recorded a score of 269.03 in the 3-meter. She received a fifth-place finish once again in the 1-meter against Duquesne, but improved her score by achieving a 255.75.

The Dukes will be back in the pool the weekend before Thanksgiving, as the divers compete in the NC State Invitational in Raleigh on Nov. 18-19. The swimmers will compete in the Queens University of Charlotte hosted Fall Frenzy on Nov. 19-21, in Charlotte, N.C.
