TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The James Madison men's golf team closed out its first complete tournament of the season on Sunday, capping the final round of the Seminole Intercollegiate, hosted by Florida State at the par-72, 6,965-yard Golden Eagle Country Club.

The Dukes held their spot on the 15-team leaderboard, finishing 13th after a final-round 300. Sophomore
Ignacio De Pineda led the way on the final day, firing a 70 (-2) on Sunday that vaulted him into a tie for 44th among 85 players.

Freshman
Neal Shipley finished just one stroke behind De Pineda in a tie for 49th, while sophomore
George Heath carded a final-round 74 (+2) to close in a tie for 56th.

Senior
Walker Cress (79) and junior
Ignacio Montero (77) finished tied for 64th and 69, respectively.

UP NEXT
The Dukes will be back in action in the middle of next month, traveling to River Landing Golf Club in Wallace, N.C. to take part in the Seahawk Intercollegiate on March 15-16.
