CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - The James Madison women's golf team finished in fourth place Tuesday afternoon as it closed out the Chattanooga Classic, hosted by Chattanooga at the par-72, 6,158-yard Black Creek Club.
The Dukes posted a final round of 314 to hold their spot on the 13-team leaderboard, edging fifth-place Middle Tennessee State by a single stroke on their way to their second straight top-five finish.
Freshman
Amelia Williams continued to lead the way for JMU, posting a final-round 75 (+3) to notch her second straight top-five finish, tying for fifth at 222 (+6) for the week.
Sophomore
Kate Owens (233, t-36) and freshman
Ana Tsiros (234, t-38) carded final rounds of 79 (+7) on Tuesday. Freshman
Kendall Turner finished tied for 15th at 228 (74-73-81), while sophomore
Carly Lyvers closed out the JMU scoring in a tie for 51st at 240 (83-74-83).
UP NEXT
The Dukes will be back in action this coming weekend, when they travel to Greenville, N.C. to compete in the Pirate Easter Invitational on April 3-4.
