th career game as sophomore
Clay Obara found the back of the net in the 66
th minute to lead JMU (4-0-1, 3-0 Colonial Athletic Association) to a 1-0 victory over William & Mary (2-3, 1-2 CAA) on Friday afternoon at Dillard Complex.

TJ Bush secured his 28
th shutout, making him the career record holder for shutouts in a JMU uniform.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The first half was a very aggressive one, with each team committing 10 fouls throughout the first 45 minutes. JMU took the first shot of the game in the third minute, and followed it up with their second shot in the ninth minute. Both teams would combine for four more shots over the remaining 31 minutes, as the Tribe also attempted five corner kicks. Neither team would be able to find the back of the net and the teams would go into the locker rooms with a scoreless tie.
The aggressiveness continued in the second half with each team taking two shots and committing a total of four fouls in the first 15 minutes of the half. Obara would break the tie in the 66
th minute though, collecting his own rebound moments after his first shot to send the ball into the goal for a 1-0 lead. Nothing much would continue for the rest of the half, until the 88
th minute when the Tribe put a shot on goal. Bush though would save the shot, essentially securing the victory for the Dukes.
GAME NOTES
- Obara is the fifth different Duke to score this season.
- The Dukes outshot the Tribe 9-6, and have now outshot every opponent so far this season.
- There were 35 total fouls called.

The Dukes return home for the regular season finale for Senior Night. They will take on UNCW, who are currently ranked ninth in the country, for a 5 p.m. kickoff.
