HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Football Head Coach Curt Cignetti announced the addition of a second graduate transfer wide receiver in Kobay White for the 2022 season.
White will have one year of eligibility remaining after beginning his career at Boston College (2016-21).
In 42 career games, including 28 starts, White tallied 97 receptions for 1,434 yards and 10 touchdowns. Though he's missed much of the past two seasons due to injury, White was one of Boston College's leading receivers for three straight seasons (2017, 2018, 2019).
White led the Eagles with 29 receptions for 460 yards and five touchdowns in 2019. In 2018, he paced BC with 33 catches for 526 yards and three scores and also tallied 34 catches for 423 yards and a pair of touchdowns in 2017.
The Harrisburg, Pa., native has a pair of 100-yard receiving games and three receptions of at least 50 yards, including a career-long, 76-yarder at Virginia in 2017.
White is the second Boston College transfer to join JMU this offseason, joining safety Deon Jones.
JMU will begin its transition to the Football Bowl Subdivision and the Sun Belt Conference in the 2022 season.
