WEST POINT, Miss. - Junior
Kendall Turner posted her best finish of the season on Tuesday afternoon, tying for third place to lead the James Madison women's golf team to eighth place at the The Ally, hosted at the par-72, 6,413-yard Old Waverly Golf Club.

Turner picked up her first top-five finish of the season, carding steady rounds of 70-74-72 to close the week as one of only four players at par or better at the event. Her performance tied her for third on a 60-player leaderboard that included 10 of the top 80 players in the country.

As a team, the Dukes carded their best round of the week on Tuesday to close out their week, posting a final-round 294 (+6) that was tied for the second-lowest final round in the field. The performance boosted JMU into eighth among 11 teams, four of which rank among the nation's top 50 teams.

Sophomore
Tatum Walsh tied for 33rd on the week, posting scores of 79-78-73, while freshman
Maria Atwood (79-79-75) and junior
Amelia Williams (78-81-74) matched each other in a tie for 38th. Senior
Kate Owens (80-78-77) closed out the JMU scoring in a tie for 46th.
