BRISTOL, Conn. – ESPN and the Sun Belt Conference have announced that James Madison's conference matchup at Old Dominion on Nov. 12 will kick off at 1 p.m. and be streamed on ESPN+.
This will be JMU's third all-time meeting against ODU, but the first with both teams competing at the FBS level and as Sun Belt members.
The Monarchs hold a 2-0 series lead, winning the inaugural meeting, 23-20, on Oct. 29, 2011 in Norfolk. The following season on Nov. 17, 2012, ODU claimed a 38-28 victory in Harrisonburg.
Next week's game at S.B. Ballard Stadium will also serve as the first football game as part of the TowneBank Royal Rivalry Challenge. Through six matchups this fall across all sports, JMU leads ODU, 4.5-1.5.
Remaining game times and network designations will be announced by the Sun Belt and ESPN on Mondays, 12 days prior to each game. This year marks the 11th straight season all Sun Belt home games will appear on an ESPN platform.
