HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison divers
Lindsey Hammar and
Alexa Holloway scored a pair of NCAA Zone qualifying scores to take first and second, respectively, in the 3-meter board to close out the first day of the Duke Dog Diving Invite on Saturday afternoon at Savage Natatorium.

Holloway becomes the fourth Duke this season to qualify for NCAA Zone Championships in the 3-meter. She joins
Lexi Lehman,
Abi White, and Hammar

Prelims
Holloway took the top spot out of the 16-person field, featuring divers from George Washington, George Mason, and Virginia, as she scored a 312.20. That score represents the first time a JMU diver has hit 300 this season. Hammar finished third with a 286.75, joining Holloway in notching NCAA Zone qualifying scores in the preliminary round.

Three other Dukes moved on to the finals in
Maddie Yager, White, and Lehman. Yager scored 267.05 while White and Lehman both scored 259.85.
Felicity Ryan recorded a score of 209.70 in the prelims.

Finals
Hammar outdid her prelim score to take first place with a score of 288.60 with Holloway not far behind for second with a score of 284.35. Both of Hammar and Holloway scores in the preliminary and final rounds were NCAA Zone qualifying scores and they were the only divers to do so in the 3-meter.

Yager finished fifth with a score 270.60, 10 points away from achieving a qualifying score. Yager joins Hammar and Holloway in having career days, as all three put up personal best scores in the 3-meter in both rounds.

Lehman and White finished ninth and 11
th, respectively, with Lehman scoring a 239.65 and White scoring a 224.70.

The divers will be back for the second day of the Duke Dog Diving Invite on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 10 a.m. form Savage Natatorium as they compete in the 1-meter board.
