WILMINGTON, N.C. - The James Madison men's golf team captured its third top-five finish of the spring on Monday afternoon, taking home fifth place at the Seahawk Intercollegiate, hosted by UNCW at the par-72, 6,960-yard Nicklaus Course at the Country Club of Landfall.

The Dukes used a strong start to take fifth in the 14-team field, posting rounds of 285 and 296 on Sunday before carding a final-round 292 on Monday to finish out the event.

Neal Shipley bookended his week with strong rounds to lead the way for JMU, firing 70-77-70 to tie for 13th in the 82-player field at 217 (+1). Redshirt senior
Ignacio Montero was just two shots behind him in a tie for 19th, riding an opening-round 68 (-4) to a final score of 219.

Daniel Cheng tied for 32nd at 222 (+6), with Schlickenrieder carding rounds of 76-73-73 and Cheng posting 71-70-81 for the week. Sophomore
Sigurður Blumenstein rounded out the JMU scoring in a tie for 68th with rounds of 81-80-74.
