Isabella Peterson were each named Division I Preseason Third Team All-Americans by ILWomen, the media organization announced on Friday.

Both players repeated their preseason success among national lacrosse media, as the duo also garnered Third Team Preseason All-American status from USA Lacrosse Magazine on Jan. 10.

Durkin was a force on defense last season, causing 2.74 turnovers per game (52 total), which ranked fourth in the nation, adding 2.37 ground balls per game (45 total) to bolster the 11th-ranked scoring defense in the country.

Peterson finished with top-10 marks in total goals (72) and goals per game (3.79), while also finishing inside the top 50 in the nation in points and points average, free position goals, free position percentage, shooting percentage and draw controls.

ILWomen named Durkin a Third Team All-American and Peterson an Honorable Mention All-American during the postseason last year.

The Dukes will return to action a week from Saturday, taking on defending national champion North Carolina. Opening draw in Chapel Hill is slated for 2 p.m.
