First Day of NCAA Zone A Diving Championships Come to a Close

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – Monday afternoon saw four James Madison divers compete on the 3-meter board on the first day of the NCAA Zone A Diving Championships, hosted by West Virginia at the Aquatic Center at Mylan Park.

Lindsey Hammar, Alexa Holloway, Lexi Lehman and Maddie Yager all qualified for Zones by recording a score of 280.00 or better throughout the season.

Holloway recorded a score of 280.75 in the prelims to move on to the finals, where she placed 13th with a combined score of 557.70.

In the prelims, Lehman scored a 236.75, Yager recorded a 229.40 and Hammar took home a 197.40.

Up Next
The second day of Zones will take place on March 7 with Hammar, Yager and Felicity Ryan competing on the 1-meter board. The top 18 divers in the prelims will move onto the finals, with the top five in finals advancing to the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
