HARRISONBURG, Va. – After going down 2-0, James Madison came back and cruised to a 9-3 win over Radford in non-conference baseball at Veterans Memorial Park on Wednesday evening to remain a perfect 10-0 in midweek games this season.

The Dukes improve to 20-12 in their 32
nd game of the season, the fastest they have won 20 games since 2011. The Highlanders fall for a 19
th consecutive game to 7-27.

Freshman
Kevin Scully went a season-high tying three innings to earn his third victory of the year, striking out one and giving up three runs (two earned). At the plate sophomore
Coleman Calabrese went a career-high tying 3-for-3 with a run scored, a triple, two doubles and a career-high tying three RBI's.

How It Happened
First Inning
A one-out doubled followed by a dropped pop up two outs later allowed Radford to score an unearned run to take an early 1-0 lead.

Second Inning
The Highlanders made it 2-0 after Avery Spencer was hit by a pitch and scored on a double.

JMU responded with four runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead for good. Freshman
Mike Mancini and graduate
Jaylon Lee both got on to lead off the inning and moved into scoring position on a sacrifice bunt. Calabrese would hit his second triple of the season towards the right field corner to tie the game. Back-to-back doubles from sophomore
Jason Schiavone and graduate
Jack Cone added two more runs for a 4-2 lead.

Zack Whitacre led off the third with a homer to make it a one-run game.

The Dukes made it a two-run game again after sophomore
Fenwick Trimble was hit by a pitch and came around to score on a Mancini double.

After a single, a hit by pitch and a walk loaded the bases, redshirt junior
Mason Dunaway connected on a single into center field to score freshman
Wyatt Peifer and Schiavone for a 7-3 JMU lead.

Seventh Inning
Calabrese connected on his third extra base hit of the night to double in Mancini, who led off the inning by being hit by a pitch, to make the score 8-3.

Eighth Inning
Dunaway drew a one-out walk and moved to second on a grounder. Redshirt
Kyle Novak then singled into center field to score Dunaway and cap the scoring with a 9-3 lead.

Game Notes
- Donovan Burke went a season-high four innings, giving up zero runs and striking out three out of the bullpen.
- Eight of the nine starters recorded a hit.
- JMU is 6-0 on Tuesdays and 4-0 on Wednesdays this season.
