The Dukes fall to 16-11, 3-4 SBC while the Jaguars improve to 12-16, 3-6 SBC.

Jack Cone started for the Dukes, going two-and-a-third innings and struck out one while giving up five runs. At the plate, redshirt senior
Kyle Novak led the way by going 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored.

Mitchell Heer went the full seven innings for the Jaguars to earn the win, scattering five hits and striking out three.

Third Inning
South Alabama used a solo home run, a two-run homer and a three-run shot to score first and take a six-run lead.

The Dukes got a run back in bottom of the inning, as sophomore
Jason Schiavone roped his second home run of the season to make the score 6-1.

Fourth Inning
With bases loaded and two down, Joseph Sullivan cleared the bases with a triple off the wall in left center field to extend the USA lead to 9-1.

In the home half of the inning, the Dukes led the inning off with a pair of singles before a fielder's choice put runners on first and third. Graduate
Jaylon Lee then stepped to the plate and hit a sacrifice fly to make it 9-2, scoring Novak.

Fifth Inning
USA scored four runs in the fifth, utilizing a fielder's choice and a pair of singles to plate the runs and extend the lead to 13-2.

Sophomore
Fenwick Trimble touched all the bases for a ninth time this season, as he took a 1-0 pitch over the wall in left field.

A run scored by the Jaguars on a wild pitch extended the lead to 14-3 and secured the run rule win.
