BALTIMORE, Md. – Former James Madison cornerback Jordan Swann has signed his first professional contract with the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League, the team announced Wednesday afternoon.
Â
His signing, a three-year rookie deal, comes following his invite to the franchise's rookie minicamp, which he participated in earlier in May.
Â
Swann spent his final two collegiate seasons (2021-22) with the Dukes. The Newark, Del., native appeared in 25 games with 12 starts, which included starting all 11 games in JMU's first FBS season last fall.
Â
As a redshirt senior, Swann was an Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt Conference selection. He registered 24 tackles (15 solo) to go with 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, a pair of interceptions, one forced fumble and two breakups.
Â
Swann made three interceptions in two seasons with JMU and had four for his career, with his first coming in 2020 while at Maine.
Â
He becomes the first 2022 JMU senior to sign an NFL contract and is one of seven former Dukes currently signed to NFL deals.
