Miranda Stanhope paced James Madison in the Spider Alumni Open 4K race with a time of 15:52.0 today at Pole Green Park in Mechanicsville, Va.
The Dukes tallied 324 points to place 10th out of 16 teams. Virginia took first overall with 29 points after a 1-2-6-7-13 finish.
How It Happened
- Four JMU runners finished within .08 seconds of each other: Stanhope (74th - 15:52.0), junior Evie Bell (75th – 15:52.1), sophomore Faithe Ketchum (76th – 15:52.2) and graduate student McKenzi Watkins (77th – 15:52.8).
- Freshman Kristin Giordano rounded out the scoring for the Dukes (94th – 16:20.0)

The Dukes will have a lengthy break between meets, not racing again until Saturday, Sept. 23 at the Virginia Invitational. The meet will take place at Panorama Farms in Charlottesville, Va., where the women will compete in the 5K race.
