BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – James Madison field hockey built a 2-1 lead, but Indiana rallied in the fourth quarter, scoring the go-ahead goal with 47 seconds remaining in the contest for a 3-2 victory at Deborah Tobias Field on Sunday afternoon.

JMU falls to 2-7, its sixth consecutive defeat and the most losses in the team's first nine games since 2004. IU sits at 4-5 (0-2 Big Ten) and will host Michigan on Friday, Sept. 29.

How It Happened
- Charley made her way to the front of the cage for a reverse shot to break the stalemate with 4:15 to go in the first frame.
- The Dukes threatened in the opening minutes of the second quarter, but Shannon McNally denied shots from graduate student Morgan Merritt and freshman Maddy Shale to maintain a one-point lead.
- At the other end, Heinbaugh made a pair of kick saves to keep the Hoosiers at bay halfway through the second quarter. IU would maintain its 1-0 edge heading into the intermission.
- JMU came out firing in the second half with Julian scoring with helpers from Hill and Covarrubias at the 10:45 mark of the third quarter.
- As momentum swung in favor of the Dukes, Hill recorded her first career goal on a bouncing ball with an assist from Julian to make it 2-1 with 9:41 remaining in the third. The Dukes held on to their advantage with one quarter left.
- The Hoosiers answered with a goal by Meredith Lee on Indiana's sixth penalty corner of the game early in the fourth.
- On a penalty corner situation, Dillon found the back of the net with 0:47 as the Hoosiers escaped with a 3-2 win.

- Julian recorded five points this weekend with two goals and an assist. The senior now tallies 12 points to lead the Dukes, while Tori Carawan (3g, 1a) and Covarrubias (3g, 1a) each have seven.
